You’re the best! Thanks to everyone who’s bought the Bobby’s Garden pattern- you’ve helped me out big time. ![]()
We don’t have internet yet in our apartment, so my blogging time has been cut considerably. On the upside, this means that I’ll have two new patterns to share with you within the next week or so. On the downside, it means that ravelry and the blogs I love have been a little neglected. And remembering to upload the photos I want to show you a few hours ahead of time is proving to be more difficult than I thought.
In terms of FOs:
1- The big one: I moved out of my parents’ house. I am now an adult. My childhood is one big, fat F.O. After 1 year of Catholic school, 12 years of public school, 4 years of college, and 2 years of graduate school, it was about time I shook a leg and got out of the house. So, bye bye Philadelphia, and hello, Portsmouth, NH. So far things are mah-velous. And cold. The hexagon blanket has already been used, and I’m happy to report no changes in my now smooth skin! Whoot!
2- A freshly painted bedroom, and some spanking new curtains out of not so new fabric. I rustled up some Kaffe Fassett striped fabric from the stash and made some lovely curtains for the new bedroom. Photos later.
3- A new side bar with my pattern links on it. For evidence, look to your right.
4- My first hand knit Xmas gift of the year. I actually finished these on vacation in North Carolina, so enjoy the sea-side pic:
(blurry because I was enjoying myself on the porch swing)
Specs:
Waving Lace Socks by Evelyn A. Clark, from Favorite Socks
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Merino (I freaking LOVE this stuff), in Spring Frost colorway.
Needles: size US2 dpns
Modifications:
I followed the directions almost exactly, except that I knit the socks toe up. I also reversed the lace pattern so that the socks would mirror one another.
Feels good to get some stuff done. Next on the list: get internet for the apartment.

welcome to NH!!
Oh, you make me want to start the blanket! I just need an excuse to make one…
Congratulations on everything! Moving, making a big step, graduating, etc! Good for you. Exciting and fun times lie ahead
I’m glad you’re selling your patterns too. You should be making some extra money through all of your hard work! That blanket is on the list…it’s just too pretty.
Take care and we’ll see you around someday again
Congrats on the move. I hope you just love your new home and town.
Someday, when I have steady employment, I’ll purchase some of those beautiful patterns in your sidebar.
Do you have a business liscense? I only ask because I’m thinking about acquiring one and thought you might give me some feedback.
Hey Meg, so happy to hear you are happy with your move and snuggling comfortably with your big ol’blankie! I’m on a temporary hiatus with mine, but I got to get moving so it is done for xmas.
